DESCRIPTION
The architecture of the Low Country has character all its own, as this vernacular country cottage clearly shows. Designed by Ben Showalter, of Peachtree City, Georgia, it combines the comfortable and traditional Southern styling with special features for today’s family living. The floor plan is simple but provides plenty of privacy and flexibility. There are 3bedrooms and 3 ½ baths in just over 3,500 square feet of enclosed space.
Porches create additional living spaces for year-round enjoyment. These indoor/outdoor spaces add an additional 1,049 square feet of covered living.
The front gallery spans the width of the house to create an inviting entry. At the rear, the screened porch with a fireplace, measures 19’ x 15’, while the side porch located on the left side of the plan is graciously proportioned 10-feet-wide and 29-feet-deep. Interiors are bright, open, and graciously sized for family living and entertaining. Ceiling heights are 10-feet-high on the main level and 11-feet-high upstairs.
